Hi Don,

Which file should I save before upgrading D-Mack RecommendFriends to a newer version so that I can replace the default one after upgrading in order to retain my Configuration Settings?

It would be much better if existing Configuration Settings would not be lost and could be automatically detected and used during an upgrade.

The file you're looking for is in the admin folder and is called 'config.recommendfriends.php'.

Good idea for the config file on upgrades. I haven't really thought of it because I am hoping that the component will become very stable and upgrades won't be necessary!

In addition, if further upgrades are required, chances are that the config file would also change and thus need upgrading as well.

I'll think about other possibilities as well.
