Hi D-Mack,
I've just installed User Info on one of my websites and I'm very pleased with the flexibility and the overal clarity of it.

Something has, however, caught my eye, and I was wondering if this is normal and if not, if there's a way to fix it. One of the things I need to demonstrate is the status of the Adobe Reader plugin for the browser, but unfortunately all I get in Safari as well as Firefox (on a Mac) is "undefined". Have I overlooked an option or something?

Thnx,
Symmetry
Hi Symmetry,

Welcome to the Forums - love your handle (username)!

First I've heard of this issue. I will have to look into it and hopefully return with some positive results. Unfortunately I'm going out of town tomorrow so it could be a few days before I respond...

Make sure you subscribe to this forum (topic) so you will get an email when I get back and reply to your issue.

Thanks,

Don
Thanks for the quick response.

I thought I'd just let you know that the module works flawlessly on the old Windows box we have at work, so for some reason ithe module can't find the status of Adobe Reader on Mac computers, by the looks of it. It might still be worth trying to tweak this.

It's not an urgent matter, it can wait. Enjoy your trip Wink
Hy Symmetry,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've done some checking and found that unfortunately Mac computers are much harder to detect certain plug-ins installed. One in particular is the Adobe Reader version 7 or later. Firefox also has an issue with this.

Until something changes, or I can find a differnet kind of script that somehow does detect this, I'm afraid I can't help further Sad

I'll keep my eyes open and let you know of any developements.

Thanks,

D-Mack
